Glad you're ok!! And as for the little kid, she'll remember the lesson, but I'm guessing she's young enough to allow the emotional impact to fade. She'll be fine. :-D

Every time I refer to you as a smart person, I stutter and think of the big stinky animals with the small brains...

you know, somehow I like the idea of making you stutter -- even if I'm not there to enjoy it. :D

Glad you and the critters escaped relatively unharmed.

Thanks hon! It could have been bad - I'm pretty pleased all that happened was an adrenaline rush and a couple bruises!

See you next weekend?

yes, horses are a run first and ask questions later kind of animal no matter how cush their life has been since foaling. and duck and roll hurts, but nowhere near as bad as a hoof shaped bruise : ) glad you are all OK, and very jealous of your spring trail ride. i loved trail riding in spring and fall... kind of a first glory and last blast kind of feeling.

yeah, hoof shaped bruises are not my favorite fashion statement - especially considering how close my face was to the hooves in question!

It nearly did. I couldn't get close enough to the freaked out mares to get them off the tie line. But they seemed to calm down after I growled at the scary horse eating monster. Maybe they figured I had chases it off - they did pretty much DRAG me back to the paddock once I got them untied tho. Silly mares.
