Yule 2007
Howdydoo! Yes, it's been a looooong while since I've posted anything here. Hopefully that won't happen again. Anyways, I went to Yule Feast 2007 with G. I had a blast, wore myself out, but since I don't work right now I can take as long as I need to recoup. The feast itself was one of the worst I've had, largely because it took almost four hours to serve, it was ridiculous. Next time I'll make sure I bring my own feast. Will I say anything to the B&B? No. Why? Because whenever anyone says anything negative about something they volunteer you or suggest that you do it better next time. That ain't gonna happen. I also have a beef that the B&B chose to sit two non-peers at the High Table when Duke T and Countess D were in attendance. Duke T is one of the highest respected peers in the realm. He's been King six times for pete's sake and it's a slap in the face to not offer High Table to him. He's our Champion! I'm not sure if this was because of inexperience on the B&Bs part or intentional, either way there are plenty of peers around to ask for advice. Okay, that rant is over...for now. I had a blast visiting with friends I haven't seen for awhile. I even discovered an ex-coworker at the event, that was a shock, heh. We did a memorial for the three baronial members that died this year, that was difficult to get through, but it was nice to hear what was said about them. Stergar was the hardest, I guess I just keep hoping he'd show up. I loved the snow from that day, although it made driving home a little scary, even though I wasn't driving, hehe, GM did a great job with maintaining her cool and getting us home safely! I met some interesting people. It really did have a better feel to it than it has for a long time. Well, that's it for now. Take care! ~sc
