I firmly believe that everyone should have a Staycation at least once each year.
Yes, a Stay-cation. One week off of work to stay home and achieve the things you keep meaning to do but never find the time for.
I work 12-8pm, and yes there's a lot I can do before work each day (laundry, groceries, errands, appointments) but there're a lot of projects which require an unset allotment of time. Like painting a room, reorganizing the bathroom, sorting through seasonal clothes, re-doing a room, etc. Hence the need for Staycations.
I just finished mine. I take it every year in October. The weather is still relatively nice enough to have windows open on days which I paint, and the weather can also be shitty which increases more indoor projects. Each day the mental check-list gets smaller and smaller. A very satisfying experience.
Just sayin'.
