This just proves that I will read anything. I must thank my supervisor for the stash of crime novels. I cannot pass up free books.

I stopped re-reading with Queen of the Damned. The Tale of the Body Thief is my favorite Lestat, and I want to preserve the memory. And I hated Memnoch the Devil, so I'm not going to bother with it. Or all of the other vampire stuff she put out for Armand and the other various vampires in the series.

Most people liked Memnoch. I'm the oddball there. I think I was probably one of the few who liked Bodythief, as well. The general consensus was the opposite.

I suspect that the philosophical views in Memnoch were things I'd already seen addressed by various and more accomplished academians, so it was sort of "meh" by comparison. I kept waiting for something to ~happen.
