Falooda

What did Chef cook for me?
Maggi two-minute noodles. No, really!   :T

He poured in a couple of sauces and sprinkled a bit
of kothimbir. Then gleefully added some pasta. "It has
been lying around for months. I'll finally finish it off today."
he said.
The end result was tasty; the noodles as well as the pasta
were cooked just right.

Next on the agenda was falooda at Annapurna. I am not a
falooda lover but when Chef recommends something, it
is definitely worth trying. So I had half a Kesar Dry Fruit
Falooda.

Well-chilled flavoured milk. A dash of sabja and shevaya
(fortunately, they had put in only a little of each). A scoop of
ice-cream, a generous sprinkling of cashews, raisins and
'tutti-frutti' (doesn't it sound better than 'candied peel' ? ) and
a cherry completed the mouthwatering medley. Too sweet
for my taste; delicious and soothing nevertheless.

In other news, Saboori is gone. The place with rickety tin tables
and chairs. Where you had to buy coupons first in order to eat
heavenly batate wada and scrumptious misal.  Where all the
dishes were made using only organic foods.
Where V. had brought me once. Saboori is gone and in its place
stands a rather crowded Cafe Coffee Day outlet.

falooda, food, maggi noddles, pasta, misal, batate vada
