Breakfast

Yesterday, I ate delicious misal for breakfast.
V., who has somewhat epicurean tastes, took me to Dattaguru
Snacks (Aarey Road, Goregaon East). A tiny, no-frills
outlet - a counter, three red plastic chairs and a little standing
room. The misal was piping hot, spicy to the right degree and
accompanied by the hugest and fluffiest of ladi pavs.

The taak was a bit thin, but mildly spiced and very tasty.
Unfortunately, the batatewade were not ready. We went back
around lunchtime, as V. just had to eat batatewade and the
place was crowded three-deep. The menu is limited to a few
Marathi snacks and poli-bhaji and the prices are very low.
Worth another visit.

Today's breakfast was had at Mani's Lunch Home (Matunga Central)
in the company of Mooncastle. I had an Onion Rava Dosa which,
needless to say, was very crisp and tasty. It left me so full that I
skipped lunch. The filter coffee was perfect. I took home some
of their mysore paak - not the crunchy kind with holes - but a soft,
sajuk-toop-rich, melt-in-the-mouth variety.

*wanders off to eat another piece of mysore paak*

P.S. Many thanks
