I attended the last part of a concert last night.
The theme was songs related to the moon (what else, around Kojagiri?)
Both the singers, Ravindra Bijoor and Madhuri Karmarkar were excellent.
Madhuri's rendition of Vande Mataram is absolutely must-hear.
I have heard it thrice and wouldn't mind doing that again.
It is interesting how effortlessly she sings the most complicated taans; unlike singers who often replace voice variations with extravagant gestures/facial expressions.
I was also able to understand and appreciate the natyageets better because the compere explained in short the context in which they appear in the play.
Must watch out for more concerts by this group.
