Busy but fun weekend ahead of me!
Tonight after work I am going to the gym, then to visit baby Braden. Then at 8 I am meeting Brett at BoneFish for date night. So excited, night 2 of no cooking. I can have the seared tuna appetizer, tilapia with mango salsa on the side and steamed veggies. I just have to ask them to not cook the fish in oil or butter and same for the veggies.
Saturday morning I want to try and be at the gym at 9:30, if not 9. I'm either going to do my grocery shopping for the week after Bonefish tonight or after the gym on Sat... I haven't decided.
I have a lot to cram in Saturday... meeting up with Mandy for desk decorations in the Southside area. Robyn got 4 free VIP tickets to the Oktoberfest beer festival at the Morroco Shrine and I am DD. That is from 5 - 10 but I'm sure they aren't going to want to go at 5 on the dot. And I have to get over to Matt & Luisa's at some point to visit Gabi and drop off a check/ pick up the XBOX 360 + games for Brett's birthday coming up.
Saturday night my mom gets in. Sunday I want to go to the ZOO (I hope early while it is still cool and all the animals aren't freaking sleeping) and go see Where the Wild Things are after that. Sunday morning I am making these healthy "French Toast Sundaes" from a recipe Mandy gave me.
Last night was nice hanging out with Rob, Lisa and Carly. She is such a happy baby... they got bad news about Rob's grandma when I was leaving though... so I hope she will be ok...
After I left there I went to Walmart just to walk around. Yes, you heard me. Haha. I have a lot of energy now so most nights from 10 - 12 I just watch a bunch of crappy TV and I didn't feel like going home yet. I wound up buying a binder and clear protector sheets to store all my cooking light recipes.
This sounds really bad... but this is the longest I have gone without drinking I am going to guess since 1998. It's almost like being pregnant. And not that I was in a constant cycle of drunk and hungover, but when you cut out the booze it's like going from black & white TV to color for the first time. I won't get into it too much, but it's really freaking nice to be straight edge and feel like I have power over myself again. And, it will be a treat to drink at Brett's grandpa's 80th birthday party in Louisville on December 12. I'm gonna have to watch it though, my tolerance will be so low, I don't want to make an ass out of myself!
