'The way of the West...'

Urg... I've got aching muscles on my back, just below my shoulderblades... Every time I lift my arms, it hurts. >_<;;

What did I do you might wonder...

Well, I went to Six Flags with my friend Jessica. And don't ask me how you can get aching muscles from riding rollorcoasters, cause I don't know.

After an hour and a half drive (which could have been about 15 minutes shorter... Really, if you follow the 'Six Flags' signs, you get the touristic route...)we arrived at Six Flags. It was really nice weather, still kinda hot though. I was smart enough to bring a cap, but I forgot to take my sunglasses from the car. >__>;;

Anyway... after entering the park, we went to the rollorcoasters at the end of the park. Most people go to the very first coaster they see, so I figured it would be quiet at the other coasters. I was right, we only had to wait about 10 minutes at the 'Robin Hood' (wooden coaster) and about 5 minutes at the 'La Via Volta'.
We were lucky, the longest wait was at the 'El Condor', about an hour, and that was cause only one cart was riding. The other one broke, or something.

So, after the first two coasters, we went in search of something with water, cause it was really, really hot. We decided to go into the 'El Rio Grande', which is basically a big round boat where 8 people can sit in. We ended up with a group of 6 girls and boys. They had been quite loud while waiting, and two other girls had refused to go into the same boat as them. So, at the first wave of water, and a remark from on of the girls, a waterfight ensued. At the end of the ride, the 6 where soaking wet. Jessica and I where just a little wet, they had avoided throwing water at us. They where sweet by asking if we hadn't gotten to wet when the ride ended. People where staring at our boat like they where crazy, but I actually had fun, cause come on, that's what amusement parks are for right? They where really soaked to the skin.

After that we went to 'Superman the Ride', followed by the 'Goliath'. I think that's my favorite. Then went in search of the 'El Condor'. That's the one I like the least, cause your feet are dangling in the air. I like to have some grip. :P Like I said earlier, that was the place we had to wait the longest.

After those we strutted around some more, but by that time it was to hot to stand to long in the sun, so we found a nice place in the shade, and hung around for a good hour. We took that time to eat, and do some 'people-watching'. I'll tell you, there are some weird people out there... O.o;;

We decided to visit the 'La Via Volta' and the 'Robin Hood' again, cause we really liked those two. Again, we didn't have to wait long, so that was nice to.
It had turned half past 5 by then, so we went in search of some food. We sat and ate in the shade,discussing on how long we where going to stay. My feet started to hurt by then, so we decided to go to one more rollercoaster before leaving. We both really liked the 'Goliath', so that's the one we went to.

Then we slowly left the park, and went in search of the car, which stood further away than I thought it was. And of course, the car had been standing in the sun all day, so it had turned into a little oven. -__-' So it was windows open, and drive.

The way back didn't took us as long, and and hour and 15 minutes later, I dropped Jessica off at her home.

It won't be her home much longer though. Jessica finally found a nice apartment, and she's moving tuesday. Her room is stashed with all the stuff she needs, she barely has place to sleep. It will be really weird though. Now she lives 5 minutes away from me (5 min. on bike, that is), but she's moving to another city, so if I want to visit her now, I have to go by car or by train.

I'm glad she told me she still wants to swim once a week after the summervacation. Otherwise I wouldn't have seen her much, cause she's got a full-time job, teaching at a primary school. I'm really curious to her new apartment. I saw some pictures, and it looks really nice. ^__^

*looks at clock* Time for bed...
