Arts&Crafts Exchange
A little while ago I participated in milly_gal's Art&Craft exchange, and because I know for certain my recipient has received her gift a little while ago, I can now share with you all what I made. :)
I got appointed sammycolt24 to make a gift for, and nosing through her interest I saw fantasy and journalling, and I decided to combine those two, which resulted in a handbound little book. :)
On the cover is a fairy I drew. I put plastic over the cover to make it more durable. It has strings to tie it closed, and a little Sam and Dean dangle for a touch of fandom.
Because of the Coptic Stitch binding method, the book can lie flat while open. I added a handmade bookmark I still had lying around that fit the fantasy theme.
The inside pages are colored, with the occasional patterned paper.
On the backcover I added a pocket to put stuff in (I stuck some stickers in there as a bonus little present).
I really had fun making this, and was glad to hear my recipient enjoyed it as well. I haven't recieved anything myself yet, but the person making something for me got an extention and I really don't know if they sent their stuff off yet. If they did, I really hope it didn't get lost in the mail... *crosses fingers*
