that's right, bitches - i'm updating. know it, love it.
ok, so today w/ hofer, went to draw the SLACK LINERS. these are these chill hippie kids who set up tightropes across trees in the plaza of the americas and walk across them. we did a group gesture/measured drawing on a giant piece of brown postal paper, and it ended up messy and sweet looking.
i tried the slackwalking, which was super fun and challenging.
only sucks cause i wanted to talk to this one hyper-sexy chick who was part of the slackliner crew (extra-long curly brown hair, curvy but athletic body, and a pair of symetricaly placed tatoos on the front of her pelvic bone that peeked out from her low-rise jeans plus she was one of the best of the crew), but in between having to draw and getting a chance to try to walk the line, she got away.
still, i got the emails of two of the slackers, who i'ma try to keep up with so that next year i can bring by studio to practice sketching them as well.
oh, and yeah i'm staying at UF for grad, going to teach and hoping to have some time to explore some more things in my life. but a few at a time. finding that when you try to take on everything, you end up half-assing everything. this goes double for academic things, so i really want to limit my hours as much as possible. this semester was rediculous. i got through it all (final's not over yet tho), but i feel that if i had had one or two fewer things going on, i could have got a bit more out of it all.
but hell, today was a pretty neat day so whatever.
