simmy update.
Good news, guys and gals. I've finally got my computer set up, so I can sim again! I also finally installed Apartments, after waiting for it since it was announced! I'm stoked. And while I'm loving the game and all the new stuff I'm discovering, I would love even more to share my excitement with the internet. But I have yet to connect my computer to the internet, so I'm still stuck using my grandmother's computer for internet, and my own for sims. That makes it hard.
It's also hard because I don't have a screen capture program on my computer. So when I take screen caps of the game, I have to take them one by one and save them individually, which is tedious. So I thought I'd ask, what screen capture program(s) do you use / do you know of? Also, where do you upload your images when you put them online? Any answers would be most helpful.
I want to thank the people who have friended me back. I really appreciate that you would not merely dismiss me as a random sim-obsessed fan (though I am). I really didn't expect anyone to friend me on this journal at least until I had established myself as an interesting simmer. So thank you!
I made a new sim to test Apartments; her name is August Butler. She's very kooky and I can't wait to show her off. I must say, the breakdancing action is surprisingly entertaining! I expected it to be ridiculous... which it is, and that's part of its charm. I also love all the new interactions sims can have with each other.
There is one thing I'm confounded by though. Didn't the baby mobile thing come with Apartments? If so, where is it? I can't find it anywhere in the catalog. Am I mistaken; did it come with an expansion that I don't have? Am I just not seeing it? I have no idea. That's really one of the things I was looking forward to, though, so I'm disappointed not to see it.
