My monthly check in
It's been sometime since I've updated. I swear I'm doing it on a monthly basis. I just don't have the time anymore to update everyday like I used to. So I'll just make one long entry with everything that has been happening to me lately. Here we go.
My technical report writing class is much easier than I thought it would be. I thought it would be all writing but it's not. It's more about design and structure than writing technical papers. We have the majority of the work for the class already done. I have one more big project, but I'm going to be writing on something that I'm very famliar with. So that should be a piece of cake to do. The teacher is pretty cool.
My botany class is going alright as well. I got a 95% on my first test when the class average was a 69%. That made me very happy. I think I should continue doing well in that class. I have a lab practical in that class as well on Thursday. I'm not to worried about it though. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. There is a guy in my class that I want to kill. He interupts class constantly with the most stupid question. Everyone hates him. I also have him in lab and he's the same way. I think he is a teacher and doing continuing education. I don't see why they take classes like this. Oh well, the semester is almost half way over.
My social psychology class is going. It's kinda boring here and there. There is a lot of reading and busy work. The teacher is really nice and cool. I just hate how there is so much busy work in that class. But he has a cool grading scale so I will hopefully get an A in there.
The class I hate the most is my organic chemistry lab. The teacher doesn't care if we know what we are doing or not. So when the lab aide tries to help us with short cuts here and there, he gets pissed at her. We have to turn in all of our lab reports into turnitin.com. He has only graded one of our reports and we've turned in five of them. I wish he would grade them because I don't know if I'm doing the reports wrong or not. I just really hate that class and dread going there every Monday night. At least lab was cancelled last night.
My final class is organic chemistry 2. That class is really hard. I'm ready to give up because it seems like no matter what I do, I can't do any better in that class. The homework that we do has nothing really to do with the quizzes and the tests. I just hope I can start doing better in there because I need to get my grade up in that class.
Next year when I attend SVSU I will be living in the same room I'm in now. I have my own apartment which is really cool. I'm glad that I have the same room because that way I know who lived in the room before and everything should stay the way I have it arranged now. It's a lot of money, but I like having my own room. You don't have to worry about sharing and you can come and go as you please.
Work is work. I'm back working at Wilson's in Romeo. It's been fairly slow lately and really boring. It's decent money though and I'm doing what I want to do. I don't really have to worry about getting laid off like gay Banfield. Ever since I have been laid off there, all I've heard are bad things about the chain that I didn't know before I worked there. Oh well. Besides I get more experience at Wilson's which will look good on my application to MSU this fall.
I turn 21 on Sunday!!! I'm so excited. I'm having a birthday party at BD's Mongolian Barbeque on Sunday. I'm expecting like 35 people to be there from work and the fire department. On Saturday, Jason has his work's Christmas party. It's disco themed and should be a lot of fun. Jason's boss Jeff White already told me that he plans on getting me trashed at midnight. But we'll see about that.
I'm going to Chicago on spring break with Rene. We are leaving on Monday and coming home on Wednesday. I'm really excited about that too. I've never been to Chicago and now me and Rene are going. Let me say, we can cause some trouble. No, but we will have a lot of fun and have a great time.
Well that's mainly what has been going on my life. I'll probably post about my Chicago trip when I get back and post the pictures from Jason's work party, my 21st birthday, and my Chicago trip on facebook. Talk to you later!
