Yesterday was probably the last warped tour I will ever ever ever ever go to. And this is why..
Because it was amazing.!
The best time I have EVER had at a warped tour, and nothing will ever top it. We made excellent timing and made a 2hr and 13min trip into an hour and a half trip, from Columbia. Yes we dropped my mommy off at work and travelled from columbia. Tolls were exuberant! which sucks. but worth every second of road trippiness. We get into Camden, NJ/Philly, PA, which I'm pretty sure is the same place.. around 9 o'clock which was way earlier than expected, so we found a McDonalds after thirty minnies of searching. There was lots of sketchy people at said McDonalds because word on the street is.. Camden, NJ is the town with the highest crime rate in New Jersey, but that's neither here nor there..
---------------------------------
I had Hotcakes, a hashbrown, and cinnimelts or w/e it was pretty good. Sara opted for the McGriddles, a fine choice. Then we found our way back to Warped Tour over the horendous humps and paid $15 to park!! Outrageous. Then I'm such a sucker that I paid $4 and Sara paid $1 for a book by traveling monks about Karma. Very Intense. And we sat in the car for a couple, went on the hugest walk of our lives around the warped tour basically, to the will call.
---------------------------------
We met a big, black man in plaid green pants and a green shirt. He asks us if we want All Access Passes for the day... we say, "yes." and he rounds up nine more people with the same question, and the Nine of us serve lunch to all of the bands backstage from 12-2pm. (So we had to miss bands in that time slot, but so worth it.) They ate vegan and non vegan spaghetti, vegan and non vegan sausage, vegan and non vegan pizza. My station was Kalamari & Fried Zuccini! Sara was on the vegan and non vegan sala bar. and there was like come fruit and whatever. And we got to watch every band come down the line and get lunch. Claudio was the nicest.
---------------------------------
Then at 2pm they gave us out wrist bands, and set us free to do whatever the mother fuck we wanted. We got to go backstage to any stage we wanted, we were invited to the BBQ for the bands after it was over. We got access to AIr conditioning which ruled. I never would have made it otherwise. We walked around a lot, we actually watched The Graduate, MXPX, Valencia, Hot Rod Circuit (huge dissappointment), a little Starling Line, Monty Are I, and I think thats it. We missed Circa Survive and Chiodos and New Found Glory...But that's ok because.
---------------------------------
We got to meet and hangout with them all at the BBQ for the bands. !! All Time Low and The Graduate had to leave but I spent most of my time with Monty Are I and New Found Glory walking around. Hung out with Colin and Steve from Circa Survive who are just about the coolest people ever, Coheed was all there, again Claudio, nicest guy ever. Mxpx was a blast! Some of the guys from Chiodos were douchebags. Sara and I didn't take any pictures though we really really wanted to because no one else was... it felt like inappropriate, all of the guys treated us like their friends. It was the most amazing, surreal moment ever. Very Dream-like. who else did we talk to.. oh! Bad Religion! HILARIOUS. but yeah me and Ryan & Steve from MAI mostly hung out. They were very cool. Killswitch was there we didn't really talk to them. My first vegan BBQ! haha. It was fucking off the heezy.
---------------------------------
We left around midnight, there was a little traffic which was weird. Got home around 2ish and fucking went to sleep, no shower or anything. I actually wrote this even before I took a shower. Hehe. So Dirty. So yeah, best warped tour ever. Best People ever.
---------------------------------
I woke up around 630 to the sound of a big beetle flying around my room and Nini in my face trying to get it. I bolted. I just had Tim execute the beetle. Very Big. So I waited for my Dad to wake up and slept in his place next to mommy. I had crazy dreams. I had a dream Nini had Kittens, only one of the kittens was a Husky puppy. haha. and when he heard of us selling his kittens he made a protest sign and carried it saying leave my kittens alone. oh Nini. So feminine.
What a day.
Love, Lulu
