The Social Network - Mark/Eduardo Recs
So, with delicious messing up (which I might add stores so many of my favorite fics, but now are in chaos), I wanted to have a place for my fave fics... thus, I made this rec list which is ever growing. I would like to point out that many of these fics you've probably read (and if you haven't read the starred ones, GO NOW!) What kinds of fics I like: I love Mark/Eduardo with a lot of angst and a long reunion, or a long and delicious buildup. Oh, I love these silly boys. Comments: This is a lovely fic from Mark's perspective. The pining and the hesitancy in his attempts for reunion with Eduardo are written very well. The way Eduardo just can't hate Mark, because he misses him too much. The way they know how to hurt each other. Angst, just the way I like it.

Summary: Sequel to the previously recced These Things Get Louder. Mark and Eduardo are finally together and trying to make their relationship work.
Comments: Yes, I am reccing this separately because it has its own flavor and poignancy to it that is entirely different from the sequel. While the first had the hesitancy of not knowing if love is returned, this deals with learning about each other. It has quiet sweet moments that I adore. Lovely lovely. I've read this and the prequel multiple times over. :)

Comments: Charming and full of misunderstandings. I love how hard they try to be friends, and how scared they are to ruin it.

Comments: This is a really cute fic, with a good amount of oblivious Mark, a far amount of pining, and a sweet lightbulb moment. :)

Summary: Eduardo & Mark have to attend some kind of shareholder's/young-and-a-billionaire's meeting in Vegas/Vermont/Illinois. One thing leads to another and they WAKE UP MARRIED. A quicky divorce/annulment would be easy if not for the fact that Mark drunkenly changed his facebook status to MARRIED TO EDUARDO SAVERIN.Or, Mark and Eduardo get drunkenly married. Chaos ensues.
Comments: Oh, I love this fic to death. It's a hurt-my-heart fic and a slow-and-sweet fic. There are so many lovely moments. Also, the fact that we don't really know what Mark is thinking or feeling most of the time makes me intrigued. Though, the author did write some extra scenes that fill in some of the gaps!

Summary: Mark doesn't know how much time has passed since Eduardo left. Prompt: "The plane Eduardo is supposed to be flying out on goes down, no survivors, and Mark finds out about it from the news."

Eduardo, who's still angry, tells him what he's missing from those years. Cue Mark shutting down all "...Oh. Sorry for bothering you." and retreating into himself. Cue guilty!Eduardo.

Comments: Mark works so hard at fulfilling the challenge. Which clearly shows how much he wants Eduardo. Fluffy fix it fic.

Comments: Not as much angst as I thought, but still lovely. a really good fix-it fic.

Summary: A story about growing up, sad 70's rock songs, too much hair gel, "Maxwell's Silver Hammer", a baby with curly hair, a Geiger counter, a dog that isn't named Max, the Chicken Dance, Cheerios, pepper-spray, drugs, sex, and a stuffed chicken named Cluckerberg, nicknamed Cluck. or: Mark raises Sean's accidental baby, and I write the fluffiest thing ever.
Comments: So usually I am not a big fan of cute kid stories, but this one melted my heart. Usually I feel that the child takes the centerpoint to the story, the author relying on sheer cuteness to keep the audience happy. But in this story, there's such a sense of friendship. The author puts in a lot of work to show how strong the friendship bw Chris-Dustin-Mark is and how complicated yet true the friendship bw Sean and Mark is. Though the love story between mark and eduardo is beautiful and sweet and slow, the friendship stories are just as good.
