Dammed if ya do and dammed if ya don’t

OK it’s been a while, so what, I am still here. The first news in a long time is not going to be about all the good things that have happened to me since I last wrote here, it is going to be a rant and a pity story, guess what, it’s my journal I’ll post when I want.

SCHOOL SUCKS ASS!!!!!

I half assed my way through all this year at York university, with the exception of one class. I got between a B and a B+ in all my other classes. In my children’s literary theories I busted my ass, worked time and a half and did more then I had to. I understood the content perfectly and came up with connections the TA had not even thought of. All my marks have been A-‘s and A’s with the exception of my mid term and now my end term exam, which I am willing to bet, is a C or a B. So I got a B for relaxing and a B for busting my ass…so where is the benefit in doing the work? Where is the pay off to go the extra mile? Academia seems to be all about doing the minimum for me. Any one else agree?
