AGE; Five thousand, nine hundred and ninety eight years.

FIRST IMPRESSION; Sarcastic. Quiet. Reclusive.
BIOGRAPHY; The world was barely settled dust when Neji was created, a silent white-eyed emissary to a universe barely emerged. In those early days, purpose was not so defined for angels, Neji-a name only used by God Himself, to everyone else, he was simply The Metatron-had a simple task. Accompany the Lord, and speak for Him-a fragile voice for fragile ears.
God talked a lot in those days. He walked in the Garden of Eden, Neji a silent figure by his side-a voice to the silence and the Lord’s human creation. A creation that, though he watched it for nearly six thousand years, Neji would never understand. He was, however, the angel that his Lord had made him. He loved through association, and humanity, perfect in all the things that he would never be, carried on as an apple in God’s eye.
And then came the fall.
Heaven was dark without Lucifer, though as the years had passed, Neji had begun to understand the need to spread one’s wings beneath the ineffable sphere of God’s presence. He did not fall, however, simply watched in silence as God’s greatest creation trembled in fear of his wrath, hiding their nakedness in the spoiled paradise of Eden. His own voice boomed throughout the heavens, anger and grief from his creator culminating in the wrath that sung from above. Eden sank to grief, and humanity fell with the angels that sank to Hell.
Neji did not sink.
He was a companion of the Lord-loved, but created to serve. He did not believe, but knew of God’s omnipotence, of His power and will to overcome. He knew of his own destiny, and the not-destiny of the Humans that the Lord still favored. It was not his destiny to fall. Following the Morningstar was simply not ingrained into the fiber of his being.
He fell a little, anyway.
The Lord that created him had made Neji perfect in a way that all angels are perfect: they do not know any better. He placed in Lucifer a shadow of doubt, the seeds of the first sin. In Neji, he placed divine devotion-and within that, the chains of envy and expectation. To ensure his servitude and devotion, God placed upon him a marking: the symbol of divine peace-a thin, box-shaped spiral on Neji’s forehead.
The years passed. Humans grew more and more strange, deviating further from Neji’s understanding-sparking thin serpentine threads of envy-and similarly sorrow-up his spine. God loved this creation more than all His great works, and yet they shifted away from Him with every passing day. Sinned and did not repent, were tempted by Satan. Yet....all this....they chose.
Free will.
It was a concept that stuck in Neji’s mind for a long while. It permeated his thought silently-and God, being the omnipotent being that He is, knew. After all, He had planted it. It was all destiny.
It seemed that destiny was faltering, however. After the death of Christ-a move that rendered Neji useless, for the first time since his creation-the human race began to spiral down into a pit much like that of the long lost angels thousands of years before.
War broke out. Religion, a poor idea in the beginning, began to fade.
And then God was no longer present. Gone-as simple as that, his presence still felt, but untouchable, even to his heavenly host.
Swept aside by his own creator. It stung a bit.
What stung more was that his devotion was still intact, his inclination toward free will still growing, and the fading hole right where his heart should be.
Are angels allowed to feel bitterness?
God must have known right from the start.
QUIRKS; Has the tendency toward penetrating stares which, by all means, seem needless and slightly disturbing until one gets used to them.

WEIGHT; 120 lbs.
EYES; White.
HAIR; Black and long--naturally perfect, though meticulously groomed.
BUILD; Slight. He's never considered it.
RELATIONS; The Order. Conversed with Adam and Eve at the beginning of time, wrestled with Jacob (Genesis 32), Spoke to Moses, stayed Abraham's hand from sacrificing Isaac, Led the Hebrews through 40 years in the desert (Exodus 23:20-23).
