a dream of dewed grass
scales gleaming under leaf-light
hands rest light on hair

and now when waking
a dark forest kimono
seems a mockery

so much green at times
in a world drenched in colour
but still, not enough

Gintama - Takasugi&Shouyu

before each battle
is a certain discarding
of schoolroom ideals

what does remain is
only a lilt of the voice
or a bestowed smile

hand pressed to left eye
blood mingles; fingers outstretched
sensei sensei no

now the final change
a new metamorphosis
boy to man to beast

all is engulfed
by howling clamouring
destruction carnage

but a brief respite
an uncertain child-like scrawl
miss you I miss you

Bleach - Izuru&Gin

even
the walls the chairs
the air
know that there are
different kinds of absence
different kinds of permanence

know when permanence and absence entwine

how different is a hollow world from this?
