If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention

Saw it on a bumper sticker, and I feel I desperately need one. It's very non-partisan -- I feel "upstanding citizens" of all political designations could probably agree with this.

What has me so up in arms? Farenheit 9/11. Everyone needs to see this movie. I am thankful for the fact that many already have; it is living up to the saying "there's no such thing as bad publicity". It brought home things I already knew, but didn't want to fully identify with; things I feel so powerless over that I often wish I could stick my head in the sand about them.

Micheal Moore has, however, a generally positive outlook on life. He handles most issues with both sensitivity and humor. I actually left the theatre feeling happy that someone is speaking out, and in a way that will get the attention of many people, even those who don't agree.

He also has a great website, with some cool ideas for helping. Turns out NM is a swing state, and every vote's gonna count. I, for one, am thinking about how to get people registered and haul them to the polls...
