They were talking on the radio this morning about how they, the radio announcers, would like a happy ending for the Harry Potter series. Then one of them said that they should ask the kids that the book was originally intended for how *they* wanted the series to end. I didn't stick around to listen (because I can't stand listening to radio announcers baiting kids, trying to get them to be cute or funny) but I think kids are blood thirsty. JK Rowlings told us that two people are going to die, and it better be two worthwhile people! Two Cedrics would not be satisfactory at all. She has all ready demonstrated a willingness to kill off the most sentimental characters (that's okay, the new actor is NOT Richard Harris, so I'm glad he won't be in the seventh movie). That being said, I really don't think she'll off Harry. She probably should, and put us out of our misery, so we don't have to secretly wish for an eighth book telling us all about Harry and Ginny, finally uniting Harry with the Weasely family in an official capacity, and Ron and Hermione, the wizarding world's unhappiest couple. And all their little wizarding babies.
I'm going to guess....Draco Malfoy, and Snape. Both bad guys, so we won't hate her too much, both big enough characters to be satisfy the most blood thirsty.
I'm not going to read the book until I can get a cast off copy on Saturday night or Sunday, so I will end anyone who threatens to spoil it for me :p
