Back to the land of the living!

Huzzah!

I had today off. Totally and completely off. The past three...or has it been four...weeks have been intense, and exhausting, and have gone by so incredibly fast that I can't believe that its Christmas, or that I had a birthday. Much of them were spent in information overload, and the exhaustion. Did I mention the exhaustion? When I had no other commitments, I would go to sleep around 8 o'clock. I fell asleep fully clothed more times in the last month then the last year. Actually, probably the only time in my life I fell asleep fully clothed as often was in first year of uni, and that was because I was in a drunken stupor, not because I was too tired to undress myself. My house is a disaster, because I haven't had time or energy to clean it. I can't see my bedroom floor, and my bed hasn't been made in a month, except for the day I put clean sheets on. The only reason laundry got done was because I needed clothes to wear to work.

But...I think its over...

Two weeks of classroom training - DONE
One week of job shadowing - DONE
One week of taking closely supervised calls - DONE
Having a semblance of a normal schedule - DONE

I've managed to arrange my schedule so I almost never start before 10 am, which suits me fine. Other then that, its completely unpredictable. So I can kiss my social life - which so inconveniently resurrected over the past few weeks - goodbye.

I can say hello to spending money, though!

If anyone actually made it down to the bottom of this post, one of my best friends from Alberta is coming out on New Year's Eve, and I'd like to have a gathering of good friends, good food and good wine to bring in the New Year. And possibly good video games, but hopefully not at the loss of good company. I'd far rather have one of those nights where everyone is drunk on wine and talking about life, the universe and everything then a night where the girls sit around and watch the boys kill zombies.
