Here's another entry in the You Gotta Be Fucking Kidding Me files.
It's concerning a PA against heavy teen drinking, taking the tactic of "drinking a lot will get you raped."
PA Liquor Control Board to teens: Rape is your fault, and your friends’ fault!
Once again, we see how rape is the woman's fault. This line of thinking is of course unspeakably vile in regards to women; in regards to men it sucks also--it seems to assume that ALL MEN ARE RAPISTS and rape is just gonna happen because, hey, that's the way dudes are.
Sun's gonna burn you, bugs are gonna bite you, men are gonna rape you. That's the way of the world, dearie.
Women have worked and worked to try and heighten global awareness of rape issues. When the hell are we going to see more on the other gender's part in educating other men? You guys don't get a cookie anymore simply for acknowledging there's a problem. Now y'all gotta address the motherfucker.
In fact, I think there should be a WisCon panel on the subject.
