Gah, stupid weight loss.  I keep bouncing back and forth between 136.8 (hush) and 138 pounds, and it's making me cross.  This kind of thing really requires me to be patient and not beat up on myself.  I did not go to the gym last night due to the need to do errands and a parent-teacher conference I'd forgotten about.  (It was with Freakshow's K- ( Read more... )

I've heard that sleep is actually very important to weight loss. Personally, I think your progress is awesome and I wish I had your dedication to losing.

Thank you!

Yes, actually, sleep *is* very important, and not just because being awake gives you more opportunities to eat. ;^D

Sleep is also crucial in bodybuilding, which is one of the things I'm working on as well.

A variation of less than 1% of total body weight isn't worth worrying over. Hell, you could gain that much by drinking a pint or two of water....And stressing over it does more damage than the weight itself.

Relax, enjoy the marvelous things you've done, and be calm thereby.

Those last pounds are always such a pain in the ass to lose. I do the same thing, bouncing back between two different weights for a while. It's incredibly frustrating and disheartening and makes me just want to give up. If you stick to it, though, you eventually get past it. Good luck. You have my moral support. I know you can do it.

Uh, 1.2 pounds is just a daily fluctuation - that's what my wii tells me, anyway. I don't think weight is as stable as you think it is. You might want to consider a range of acceptable weight instead of getting hung up on a pound here and there??

(I'm better with grey areas than black and white, for what it's worth.)

You are aware, aren't you, that your weight can change by 2-3 pounds a day due to water weight?

How tall are you? My sense is you aren't much shorter than me. And *my* healthy weight is about 145. (Not that I'm anywhere near that.)
