Fretting, AKA O SCA Ladies HALP!
Oh, thank you God, the gym is open on New Year's. I won't be able to hit it today, as it closes at 5 and I don't get out of work until 5--and I overslept my alarm. I'm terrified I won't be able to fit into my investiture dress. Let's see, how to lose an enormous amount of weight in 3 days without surgery? Heh. Oh, and without stomach flu, O Powers That Be!
And my hair? My hair!
O my SCA women friends, will it be too awful to wear it down? Not appropriate for the 14th century--but it's too short for really elegant braids--and I'm worried that if I break down and buy the fake braids to coil them in the ramshorn fashion at each ear, then the coronet won't fit. And I don't have a snood (not period for 14th century, let alone the 12th, I don't think, but they still look nice.)
Edit: By dint of experimentation, I have decided upon a period hairstyle that should work without too much fuss.
I just can't stand the thought of looking like I don't care....
