By the heavens, what is happening? I awoke this morning by... in a strange place, and now find myself trespassing in the home of a stranger.

Might someone explain what is happening? My name is Tenkai; I am but a simple priest. I would like to gather my bearings that I might not intrude upon my host any longer.

[The first thing that comes to mind as Megumi surfaces to consciousness is that her husband, who she is curled up to, is clothed. Pouting in her state of sleep and wakefulness that she can't feel his skin upon hers, she lets out a tiny moan and cuddles even closer to him, running a hand up his chest to curl in his clothing.]

Mitsuhide, anata, why are you wearing clothes?

[Her voice is a sleepy, warm murmur.]

Want to feel you, love . . .

[And her hand moves downwards to find the ties of the yukata that she thinks he is wearing . . .]

['Tenkai' gives a big gasp of shock, and in out of the bed and standing on the floor in seconds. Facing away, face mortified, embarassed and worried all at once, he clasps his hands together nervously.]

F-F-Forgive me, my lady, I do not know what has happened here, but I am neither 'Mitsuhide' nor your husband. My name is T-T-Tenkai, a simple priest.

[A moment of worried breathing.]

I must apologise profusely for what h-has happened.

[The moment Mitsuhide leaps out of bed and starts stammering an apology, Megumi fully opens her eyes, surprised into full wakefulness.]

[Shock and realization dawning on her features, she realizes that today must be a curse day. The legends of Mitsuhide had spoken about him living a new life as the priest, Tenkai . . .]

Tenkai-sama? And not my husband, Akechi Mitsuhide, with whom I am enjoying marital bliss and the pleasures of the marital bed?

[She gives a soft gasp, unable to help herself from teasing him.]

[Mitsuhide's eyes open wide. What is going on? Is some spirit playing some kind of trick on him, or has one of his old enemies found him out and sought to tease him?]

No, my Lady, of course not. I... forgive me, I shall give you time to don your clothing.

[Walking out of the room, he gives a little gasp and breathes deep. What is he to do now?]

[Megumi sighs as Mitsuhide vanishes from their bedroom, shaking her head. She surmises that this is another of those curses in which the victims are made to live their lives as they would had they made another choice in the past. This curse was never pleasant for her, but she is glad to see that Mitsuhide is unharmed, which is what is important.]

[Rising to her feet, she dons her yukata by the bedside, tying it loosely around her waist. Hmm . . . she can't help but want to have a little fun with her husband . . .]

[Bolting out of the room, she runs to Mitsuhide and pounces into his arms, burying her face in his chest.]

Mitsuhide-sama, Tenkai-sama, my lord husband! You cannot be a priest! My heart is yours, and you and I are wed! Oh, how my body yearns so much for your touch, how I burn with desire for you, to have you take me!

[She lets out a small whimper, looking up at him with big, shining eyes.]

Tenkai-sama . . .

[Mitsuhide actually jumps, the mortification on his face intense. He is a priest now; women shouldn't be touching him like this!]

M-My Lady! As I said, I am not Mitsuhide or your husband! I do not know what this is all about, but...

[He backs away.]

I should... should leave...

[Megumi shakes her head, looking up at him with beseeching mahogany eyes.]

Please don't leave! I promise I'll behave, Tenkai-sama!

[Clutching his priestly robes lightly, she looks up into his eyes, her gaze pleading.]

I'll take care of you today, I promise! Please?

My Lady... it would not do to continue such behaviour... I am a priest. I have no marital ties nor engage with women in such a manner.

[He takes a step back again.]

But I do have nowhere to go right now... I will stay until I know what I can do, provided everything is kept sensible and right...

[A slight nod.]

[Linking her hands before her, she pouts before nodding demurely, resisting the urge to laugh.]

Alright, Tenkai-sama. I promise that I shall behave.

[Giving him a smile, she attempts to put him at ease. It wouldn't do to have him running away!]

Would you like breakfast?

[He gives a tiny, grateful and yet still slightly nervous bow.]

Ah, it would be appreciated...

[Giggling, she gestures for him to follow her, seating him at the dining table.]

Ah, I don't suppose you know my name yet? . . . I am Akechi Megumi, Akechi Mitsuhide's fair, loving, eager wife!

[She lets out a merry peal of laughter.]

I know my husband loves to cook! What about you, Tenkai-sama?

[A mildly teasing look.]
