[Police Force Filter]

I feel able to come back on active duty now. The wounds I bore were minor in any case, and I feel eager to make myself useful.

[/Police Force Filter]

This city is truly an odd place. I never appreciated it as much before, but upon discovering that there are people to whom you are a part of history? It is a peculiar feeling

avoiding grief, honnoji, avoidance tactics, ignoring the issues, a traitor, history, policework

Mitsuhide-dono. Welcome back. This unworthy one had not had the chance to say so until now.

Kenshin-san. I cannot believe it has been a year for me. It is good to see you again.

This unworthy one understands. The first time he was sent back to his world a good four months passed there while only a few days here. It is... an odd feeling to grasp on return.

Saa, it is good to see you again as well. And it is good to know that Megumi-dono is whole again. At least until you leave again.

It is. Finding my feet again has taken a while, but I am adjusting far more quickly than when I first arrived.

Aa. That is good.

Did Mitsuhide-dono's memories of the City come back instantly? The last time this unworthy one was a little fuzzy for a short time.

I never lost my memories when I left, Kenshin-san. Leaving, coming back, they remained as clear as day.

Sou ka. Mitsuhide-dono is lucky for that. Both times he has returned this unworthy one has been unable to remember the City, and if he did it was though it was an odd dream.

When he first returned the last time it took him several hours for everything to come back clear again. He actually could not remember that he and Kaoru-dono were married for a short time.

Though perhaps that was because we were not married in our world and he was panicked on his return and didn't have time to think...

Maa maa...

...I see. I am sorry it was that way for you, Kenshin-san. To forget the City, it would have been... very bad indeed, for me.

Aa. He can imagine.

But Mitsuhide-dono is back now. That's the important thing.
