Caelum Week 1 - The Wilder Family

May 28, 2011 17:52

A quick warning before we start with the Wilder’s first week! I have a tendency to take way to many pics, so you’ve got almost 70 pics ahead of you!

Nevertheless I hope you have as much fun reading as I had playing! :)
So without further ado I present you "The Wilder Family, Week 1"!

~

One of the first things Mara and Rose decided to do was to start a pillow fight. Caleb, much more serious, decided to start gardening. Somebody has to think about what the family is going to eat after their provisions are used up. So he goes the way of all new Sim-gardeners and plants tomatoes.

Later on Ayazo drops by to welcome his new settlers in Caelum. Rose is thrilled to meet him as she finally sees the chance to talk to him, having never met an alien in their old home. Naturally Ayazo invites himself to some dinner, even if it’s only some sandwiches! As a small thank you he starts playing the violin for them. Rose seems very much impressed, even donating some coins to the town’s funds... or does she hope that with enough money Ayazo will stop playing???

Meanwhile outside... Clare and Rose had a couple of fights during their journey, as had Anderson and Rose. It seems that Clare hasn’t forgiven Rose yet and stealing the Wilder’s newspaper seems like the ideal way to get back on Rose.

This nice flames above Clare’s head also mean something else, the Law career is unlocked YAY!

"Umm Caleb... don't know how to tell you this but I don't think Marawyn married you because she loved you..."

Rose wanted to tell Caleb about her suspicions for a while, and she clearly wasn’t all that comfortable in doing so. Unfortunately for her, Mara overheard their conversation and wasn’t all that pleased with Rose. Rose arguing her case doesn`t help the situation either.

"You are out of your head woman! Don't ever dare to talk nonsene like that again!"
"Or what? Are you going to throw me out of the house?"
"Just wait and see Rose, just wait and see..."

Somebody ought to tell Rose that angering an elfin witch is never a good idea...

To prove that she is seriously into this marriage Mara takes the easy way out and seduces her husband to make him forget Rose accusations. But Caleb seems to feel some doubt now, as he leaves the bedroom as soon as Mara is fast asleep.

Eilreir stops by the next day to greet his new neighbours.

"You've got something on your dress neighbour!"
"Really? Where?"
"Riiiiight there! HA! Got you!" :D :D :D
"Aaaarrrrghhh!"

He was quite the ladies man back with his own tribe of elves, known for his style and sense of humour. Mara though comes from a very different tribe and does not find him funny at all. In fact Mara seems to be the only Sim in Caelum who can't stand Eilreir at all!

Knowing his sister, Caleb thought it was best to take a closer look at some books on mediating, but the only book available was couple counselling. To his surprise contained the book many useful information and Caleb decided to take up a Law-career after reading it.

In the evening Ayazo and Eilreir are showing up for a visit. Mara stays outside for a little talk and a small flirt with Ayazo. She always found blue people very fascinating. Eilreir who is still a little bit muffled, decides that it was time to tell Caleb about his suspicions.

"About your wife Caleb, I think you should have an eye on her..."
"Why?"
"Well let me put it that way... she looked pretty comfortable with a certain blue skinned alien living across your house... very comfortable if you get what I mean!"

Caleb cannot and will not believe it, but he is thankful for his new friends advice nonetheless!

But he soon forgets everything about this cheating rumour. Mara is pregnant! The first pregnant Sim in Caelum! Caleb is reassured and for the first night since their arrival Mara and Caleb sleep together in one bed...

When Caleb leaves for work the next day, Mara and Rose decide to do some garden work. Rose is that enthusiastic about it that she starts gardening in her nighty. Later Mara tries her hands on cooking, or at least at making sandwiches, but gardening has made her pretty tired and she falls asleep on her plate.

When Ayazo walks by in the afternoon he is greeted very enthusiastically by Rose. Unfortunately someone else also walked by, namely Anderson and it only takes a look for both of them to start a fight, which Rose, to her great dismay, looses. But Ayazo has a very good idea how to make her happy again...

It wouldn’t be a real Sim-pregnancy without a bathroom incident, would it?

Caleb seems is ardent follower of new trends and he likes to combine them, therefore he does his gardening in his pyjamas during the night! Staying up that late also has other benefits. Like being the first of his household to meet Seth, the vampire!

"Oh my God! I always wanted to meet a vampire! So you are undead right? Do you really bite people and drain them?"
"Only if they annoy me..."

Mara has finally found a nice little place near their house to practice her witchcraft. The place between the trees reminds her off home...

Meeting Anderson makes Rose pretty pissed. Thankfully only the broken bathtub is victim to her rage!

It’s baby time! Meet Aemon Wilder, who has his mommy’s skin tone and his daddy’s eyes and hair colour. Isn’t he cute?

While Mara harvests their very first apples, Rose takes care of baby Aemon. She’s quite smitten by him and constantly wants to cuddle or play with him. But although she loves her nephew very much she always has this very sad look in her eyes when holding him...

Because Caleb manages to set the kitchen on fire when trying to cook pasta, nobody notices Aemon growing up into a very cute toddler! Not even his aunt Rose who gets a shock of her own...

"Oh shit... I think I'm pregnant...."

Yes she is, and Ayazo is the happy father to be!

Rose isn’t the only pregnant Sim in the Wilder family. Mara is pregnant again and thrilled about it! She loves little Aemon dearly and having another little one in the house is never a bad thing, even if Family is only Mara's seconed aspiration. Plus she hopes that her next baby will inherit her pointy elf ears, as it would be nice to have another elf nearby.

Let us end this week with a nice little family pic of Caleb stargazing and pregnant Mara teaching Aemon how to walk in the background :)
