Um ... hi guys? Let us have love in our hearts, shall we? And syrup in our words.
I think that being raised a Catholic, especially one educated in the parochial school system as I have been, undeniably helps to strengthen and make louder the conscience that is innate to us all. That process, and the Jiminy Cricket it births, is what I identify as my "Catholic conscience."
Is said conscience necessarily right or good? I don't know. I think having a formidable conscience, though, whatever it may tell you, is a sign of life, and is, in fact, a great thing.
Now, can you develop an effective conscience by other means? Absolutely. Experience will do it. Education can, etc.
Different types of Crickets, same deal. Titles like Catholic and Christian and Muslim and so on can get us hung up, and can cloud the fact that we may be agreeing on some very basic tenets. Which I think we are.
My words are meant to spark discussion. Arguments, even. Never disrespect, though, guys. ;)
"And love will be sourced from me.
And good things will come from my work.
Never hate, never hate ..."
And with that ... let's eat everyone!
