Back home in BC. Had a GREAT time in the states!
So my crappy little $500 car got me down to California and back again without costing much in gas or breaking down and leaving me stranded somewhere in Oregon. Yay!!
The trip and seeing Patch were AWESOME! I had a GREAT time at the Thursday Cracked Chicken thing in SanJose. Saw Smash and Orzel for the first time in a long while. Was AWESOME seeing Wombat as well and hanging for a bit with Brigus. Ummm, met a bunch of other people there too. Yote took me for a ride in his suped up Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. Sweetness!! Speaking of fun in cars, Kae whipped me around Seattle in his lil' Honda Civic and.. I LIKE the way that puppah drives!!!! But I'm getting ahead of myself here.
California rocked. I can still handle a .45 with some competency. (Thanks Patch!!!)... On Saturday I drove back to Seattle to help Kovu and NightCat move. Yay! Met a bunny while I was there!! *Happydances* Saw a bunch of people and hung out with Kae and had a good time so, definitely worth the extra time spent in Seattle. I'd like to go back just to shop down the road when I have money that I can justify blowing.
So now I'm back to working and, hopefully, moving onto a job that gives me hours I can plan a life around. The last few years of my life have been a rough ride. This trip was the break I needed from my usual grind working as a mover in Vancouver. It gave me time to think about where I've been, what I've overcome and which obstacles I should tackle now in order to move forward and have a life I can be content with.
