Still doing well in BC, busy as hell with work.
I haven't been online much at all lately. I spent the summer with my mind half set on working with Kary movers for the summer and then moving on to something with more regular hours in September. Well, so far that hasn't happened. In fact, I've kind of become the most regular driver for my company. My boss had one full time driver other than myself and a few guys who can work some days but who are not interested in or able to work every day of the week. The other full time guy gave notice in August that he was going to move back to Alberta at the beginning of September. My boss figured he'd find someone to replace him by then. Well, it's been harder and harder to find new drivers apparently, so as of September 4th, Colin's gone and I've become the closest thing to his replacement that my boss has to rely on for the moment. A lot of days my boss has had to come in and drive one of the trucks himself, which he can do but would rather not as it cuts into his sales time. Hrm......... so yeah, had a few days off this month and should get one or two next week before the weekend hits and we're into month's end crunch again.
I went for a run tonight. Just a short little run from my place to Sperling Lake station along Loheed and back. It's the first run I've done in about a month. Honestly, I do have time to excercise these days. I simply haven't been, and the stupid thing is that I burn out faster without it.
A week ago my roomate Uni Otter held a furmeet at our place. We all managed to relax among friends, have a few laughs (and some of us a few drinks) and, well for me it was some MUCH needed and, as of late, neglected social time. Lummox also showed up and dragged Kohl, Chad and I off to a Burning Man party. It wasn't a hugely successful party, as people were a bit worn out from having gone to Burning Man the weekend before, but it was a nice change of pace for the three of us. 10 foot tall propane fireballs are a must have at every suburban backyard party IMHO.
Dunno what else to say. Been working a lot and hanging out with my roomates Kohl and Uni. Did a tiny bit of fursuiting at Rat's place. Hmmm.. right now I'm mostly looking forward to work hours becoming a little less crazy and.. umm... maybe having a bit more of one of those life things that folks keep talking about.
