i don't think i was meant to be a guitarist.
i don't have the same drive or passion for it like i used to.
however, i love playing the bass.
i dunno. i think there's something about it that allows for more expression. and it's so cool and mellow. and it is totally the backbone of all contemporary music. let's be honest.
and i totally kick ass at it.
even though i wish i was better.
i can just like.. pick up my bass and play anything.
i can't do that with the guitar.
i mean, i can figure it out on guitar, but it takes me a while.
i'm the same way for the bass guitar as i am for the piano.
i'm so comfortable with them. they're so beautiful.
the guitar can be beautiful too. don't get me wrong.
but the guitar is just so overrated & commonplace.
and also, if someone sucks at guitar, you can really tell.
because the bass guitar is such an improvisational instrument,
someone could fuck up and just play it off as a part of the bass line.
to me, guitar requires precision, whereas bass requires expression.
i don't know. just one of my pointless ramblings of tonight.
i love how i didn't even update this thing for months and now that i have discovered it again, i'm updating non-stop.
oh don't worry. i'm sure there'll be another update later tonight
