Life as a Lab Rat

Cold, dark metal lurks below me,
as cold, dark metal haunts above me
Shivers run down my spine
with every cry from the others
Footsteps.
So loud I duck in fear.
Bright light pierce my eyes
as white lab coats flood the room.
Huge, clathed in rubber hands
yank me out of my metal entrapment
while more hands......
sharp pain down my left side
dizzy
breathing stifled
as Im thrown back onto the cold steel bars
fading
as the white lab coats vanish
fading
from the pain that now pulsates throughout my whole body
fading....
as my last thought
enters.....
why me?
