I shoulda listened when I was asked why you can't take a ho to a hotel...

First off, I'm a little drunk so if something doesn't make since that'll explain it. Anyway, like I said, it was a pretty slow couple of nights like I figured. Me and Alex met a couple of broads and hung out drinking till 6am the other night, but I didn't bother trying to get any... wasn't really in the mood for it. Tonight, on the other hand was a great night! Me, Lindsey (Eds) (who I like to refer to as 'Avril' or 'Avril eyes') and Alex went to Metro to see Reforma (headlining), More North, The Waiting Game, and Best Defense. Sam was supposed to come too but she had a death in the family and had a long night last night, totally understandable. I got the tix from Billy (lead singer from More North). Let me tell you, one hell of a friggin' show (still working on giving up swearing)! All 4 bands played a hell of a set each.
It's really funny how no matter where I go I always see someone I know, or who knows me. While we were watching More North all of the sudden The Jen taps me on the shoulder and totally surprises me. I haven't seen her since my little birthday party shin-dig. Then on one of my many trips to the pisser I ran into Joe Ossy (saw him and his band last week at North Beach... forget the name though...). Then there were these 2 broads that came up to me and Alex at the bar that said they knew us (it was a cheap pick up line, but whatever works for ya).
On a few occations me and Lindsey (Eds) got to talking (between sets when the music died down). She told me that compared to Alex, I am the one that she can actually see as relationship material. Whereas Alex is more like a one-nighter type of guy. However many times I hear that I can never get tired of. It's extremely awesome to hear how I am "easy to talk to" and "more laid back" then everyone else. It's kinda like an unspoken bond of trust that I link with people.
That's pretty much it, besides after the show getting halfway to Wisconsin before I realized I was going the wrong way... After turning around and heading back to Chicago and calling Jamie for directions we were on are way (she lives on the northside). Bottom line: Good night of music and beer!
And those of you that know what I mean in the header section; aint it the truth?!
