*cowers*.... arrggg its that pesky season of thunderstorms again. You'd think in 20 years I'd have gotten over my fear of storms... but no. At least I have come to realize that what I'm really scared of is sudden loud noises. But even though I have figured this out, I still don't know how to get over it! *lalalalalalala turn up my music.... lalalalalalalalala*
On a side note my hair still looks fabulous!!! (Even though it looked like a re-enactment of Psycho in the shower this morning... cursed red/purple/pink hair dye.) Yes, its true I have gone utterly crazy with my hair this time. I have bangs for the first time since I was 8, the front is a deep reddish purple, the back is dark violet and I have two chunks of bright fucshia. It looks soooo great!! I LOVE IT!!! I'll try and post pictures because words just don't do it justice.
Hmm lets see, what have I been up too? Well Jacob's head honchos are beings pricks. They cut our hours down to 350 hours per week. For everyone, including managers which need a minimun of 40 hours per week... which basically means that I've worked 8 hours in three weeks. Being poor sucks! I should probably start being creative with all my free time... *looks around room* ya I should probably start by cleaning my disaster of a room... heh.
It turns out that I'm 119th on the waiting list for Algonquin... apparently the fact that I've worked at an animal hospital for nearly 4 years has nothing to do with their qualifications. And its too late to get into Kingston or Northern... so I think I'm going to take a few courses at Carleton, see if I can up my marks a bit and try to get in again next year. If all else fails I'm going to use my fall back plan of working on a cruise ship and make some serious money while traveling.
I saw the documentary Dogtown and the Z-Boyz, then the next day I saw Lords of Dogtown. pretty good! Those guys can skate!!! they put Tony Hawk to shame.
My last couple of riding lessons have been super great! last week we did roll backs (jump a fence then stop, spin around and jump the same jump from the other way as fast as you can.) Fitzroy is such a great jumper! And this past week we went on a hack (trail ride) and saw so many deer. It was sunset as well so the whole ride was just sooo beautiful, just nature at its finest and to experience it all while on the back of an equally beautiful creature is just so breathtaking.
Tonight was the first night of the Barrhaven Fair and Jessie and I had our usual shift at the Scout BBQ which is conveniently located right next to the stage! Bloodshot Mary played (McDivit, Moffat, Westwater, and some dude on the drums who I didn't recognize but is super fantastic.) and before them was Junkyard Symphony, and after them was some great jazzish band. After the BBQ I headed over to my moms '25th anniversary shower' Weird I know, but so are her friends! and then around 10:30pm I had to drive Jamie's girlfriend Brit back to the outskirts of Kemptville. Luckily I had Jessie, Led Zeppelin II, and Linkin Park for company. (And Jessie, apparently the windshield actual forms ice when you drive fast with the A/C on!? we should have put the heat on a bit according to my mom... stupid van.)
Well storms getting worse so I should really turn my computer off...

Fish that don't drown,
Life in a bubble jungle,
I wouldn't frown,
Not short another chuckle,
Snake in the ground,
But I was in there for you,
Now leaving town,
Life in a bubble jungle.

Peace out.
