NO SCHOOOOOOL! YES HAPPY!
YAY! best b-day present ever. i woke up at 6:45 today, ready to finish all the homework I didn't do because I was playing at GMU and breaking my bow (don't even ask - yesterday just kinda sucked in general) and then guess what? NO SCHOOL! woooooooooooo! so i get a whole bunch of extra time to do college apps, math homework, and sleep. and hopefully get better by tomorrow. so yea, i'm extremely happy right now and don't even mind writing essays. woohoo. i hope we get more storms like this in the next 2 weeks, but for now, it's party time with coughdrops and chamomile tea and this fun survey to help me procrastinate.
Colored lights or white lights?
Depends where I am. In puerto rico - colored. in the u.s. - white. i think white is just more snowy and colored is more margaritas.
Real tree or fake tree?
FAKE TREES! They don't shed, they don't need water, and they don't require people to kill any trees. only downside - they don't smell as good. but you can get candles for that.
What is your least favorite thing about the holidays?
For some reason, those clay-mation movies really get on my nerves after a while. i can stand seeing rudolph once or twice, but when you get to those really obscure ones with german soldiers and random little kids you can count me out. oh yea, and my mom's barbara streisand christmas cd. i don't even think barbara streisand is christian.
What is the one thing that you would like to see under the tree this year?
i asked for an i-pod, which is kinda expensive, but i think now that's been replaced with a new bow for my violin (a nalgene bow - indestructible!)
What is your favorite thing to do/build in the snow?
I love love love love snowboarding/sledding/skiing. And also making tunnels in the snow with my dog. and snowball fights. whatever...i just love the snow in general.
What is your favorite holiday drink?
homemade hot chocolate. with whipped cream. made with milk - none of that starbucks water+powder junk.
What is your favorite holiday smell?
the smell of snow is positively orgasmic. i actually just wanted to say the word orgasmic. but i really do like the smell of snow

blitzen. he sounds like he would eat sauerkraut

i don't really have any ritual - mostly just putting up stockings, watching christmas movies and listening to music, sleeping

HELLZ NO! i don't really like malls that much anyways, and the idea of getting trampled by thousands of crazed shoppers is not too appealing.

flan. my aunt makes the best one ever.

when i was about 7 and saw my parents wrapping presents. honestly, you think they could have been more secretive. lol

nope. usually it's just me, my sister, mom, dad and the dog. and maybe a fish if it hasn't died from the cold yet. (my parents don't believe in heating)

Elf. I don't care what you guys say, that is one kick-ass christmas movie. it's also one of the only ones that really gets me in the holiday spirit. that and a muppet's christmas carol. you gotta love kermit.

a 500 page indian food cookbook. i still don't know what half the ingredients are.

What do you usually get in your stocking?
stuff from computer conferences. my dad is an IT guy for homeland security, so i always get these random things from the GSA (global security alliance....not gay straight alliance like i first thought) and other companies. and i always get some fruit, which is kinda pointless since it ends up back in the refrigerator.
