Well, at least I have the photos I need for the rest of the original families for Week 2. But I've had some downright scary glitches, so it's time to overhaul the downloads folder again. I made my mix half townie, half PT. In the previous town, I kept adding new PT sims for variety. But I also removed a lot of them when I rebuilt the town.
I guess it depends on whether you're tired of looking at Maxis townies all the time. By now, I am - it's why I got default face template replacements and use the half and half mix. I just couldn't face that same batch of townies again. ^^;;
Plus, you just posted how you have to rebuild the town again - do you really want to add all the extra sims if it goes poof? Maybe just start with a few, and remove your least favorite maxian ones? Just a thought.
I also consider all sims by one creator to be siblings, so I wouldn't marry them or their cousins together. This last time, I made it official in CAS, so they won't get the hots for each other even if one does become playable. ;)
Hope that helps!

I'm going to keep the Dorks as reserve townies-to-be, and put them in as large family clumps by generation. But I think if I space out the deposits of townies enough, I can avoid the whole having the hots for each other thing.
Right now I've got the base neighborhood ready - the townies in place, the seeding lot deleted, and my templates ready to put my Families back in. And this time I zipped up a copy of the blank to keep in reserve, should it get glitchy again. Sadly, I'm still going to have to traumatize Dean and Samson most likely. I'll have to think about how I'm doing that again.
