Phaenoh's stuffs.

Since I really do applaud her efforts at refreshing the game - and how lag-free her downloads are compared to oodles of custom clothes . .

*cracks knuckles* Just to refresh memories, Phaenoh is really, really good at doing game-mods for altering the default clothing - color tweaking, retexturing, etc. Her talent at texture bashing of major changes isn't as good, but if you're only playing at a distance (like in classic Sims), then it's no biggie.

- Dr.Jekyll's Duality Potion Reading through on this, I would say it would actually make a nice storytelling device. It doesn't change personality, just gives your sim (and has an antidote to) a creepy diseased skin tone and eyes.

- 7 Little Shops Seven cute themed little shops, excellent for sim-owned businesses. Very nice, beach-casual look to them.

- The Great Clothing Migration: V2.0, and updated as well! Now this, this is a VERY nice download to have. Holy crap, does it ever expand some of the smaller sections of wear by swapping things around - most notably the Outerwear category. Not all of her choices are ones I agree with - such as moving the too-cute toddler bear suits to outerwear-only. But if you're looking to get more use out of the Maxis-made items, this is definitely a download to use. More specific listings of what gets moved where at her post.

- Catalog Clean-Up, a HUGE reshuffling of the buy catalog. As far as I can tell, it's all a common sense reshuffling, like putting kid-related items such as the growth chart, into the kids section. Or the fountains into misc plumbing, and decorative lights into the appropriate light category (wall, hanging, floor, and lamp). Many things moved, and she lists them by expansion/stuff pack.

- Uni Pajamas For All Ages Reading this thread, my understanding is that she's opened up the topless sweatpants PJs to be all-ages by some code and two new meshes - and that the meshes draw on the game's textures for the sweats, so the actual file is very small. Apparently this is how the Converted Briefs and Swim Trunks work as well.

- She's converted adult male briefs to also be for elders, teens and children. Especially good if you're tired of staring at the boxers&shirts combos they have normally. No custom star - game thinks it's all natural content, and thus no slowdown.

- Swimsuits! Converting male swimsuits for all ages, not just adults! By the looks of things, it means Elders get all the basic male swimsuits, not just those two weirdo ones, teen boys get some uni suits as well as the boxer-suits, and wee boys get some speedos to wear.

- 'Coming of Age', a conversion of all those teen girl panties and tops into panties and bras, or panties and no-pattern shirts.

- Family Fun Stuff replacements. This is a set of replacements - individual, to let you pick and choose which one you want. One removes the slippers from the monster-feets pajamas, another adds more fabric and turns the bikini top of the mermaid dresses into tank tops, and another brightens up the colors of the princess dresses. There's another to brighten up the old-fashioned nightgowns for girls (I like the pale hues, m'self). The second-to-last one turns the toddler sundresses covered in fruit into fruit tops and single-color skirts. The big monster in this set is a major overhaul of the Maxis tropical outfits. The hues have all been matched - previously elders and children had tan or white pants, they now have orange-d to match or at least harmonize. The one-strap dress has become a strapless, the toddler dress is now a two-piece with block color skirt. The same changes happened for the orange, and the blue & purple is now blue & white as well.

- Default Mesh Fixes for H&M. Only a few, small changes here. To make the 'sack dress' (worn by Sharla of madame_ugly's Peculiar neighborhood) drape a little more naturally, lowered the hem of the cap-sleeve minidress, shaped the mostly shapeless bold-print dress, and reduced the sheer poofiness of the shoulders of the bowler jackets & jeans outfit. If you've got H&M, this looks like a really good mod to have.

- Glamour Tweaks. Like the H&M, this is a set of small tweaks and a few mesh smoothings. Remember those lovely suits that show off nine yards of cleavage that came with Glamour? With this, she tweaked in a simple undershirt, making the neckline from incredibly daring to very pleasingly businessy. The white formals with colored embroidery were given a color boost, with whiter whites and brighter brights. The men's jacketless old-fashioned card shark suits were slimmed at the waistline - your guys won't look pregnant in them anymore! And last of all was a tweak to the teen girl babydoll outfit, it now drapes a little more naturally at the waistline.

- Reworking The Sweatsuits. I've got mixed feelings about this set. I like the richer color of the reworked suits, but I'm not sold on the white tops with sleeves that match the pants. I do, however, like the elder s version - there the tops have been reversed, with the stripes matching the pants and the main part of the top the same color as the stripes on the pants. And sensible sneakers, rather than color-match sneakers. For the most part, it works. Last off, she took the 'hip' tracksuit provided for teen girls, and added in a longer undershirt so they're not flashing that strip of tummy. Each of these sweats mods can be downloaded invidually.

- Celebrations Wedding Outfits!. This is definitely a whiter whites, brighter brights re-work. And a fix for the poochy top of the toddler dresses - she smoothed them down to having a toddler chest rather than a preteen's. Colors all around are given a few more degrees of saturation, and the pale greys brightened up to white, the beige to outright pale gold/yellow. And a tuxedo fix, to whiten up their shirts, brighten up the red roses, swap the yellow for blue on the white one, and make the vest match the one solo yellow bowtie. The tuxedo fix is pretty tempting to me . .

- Out With The Rose-Colored Glasses! Vast majority of the funky-hued Maxis sunglasses are now clear-lensed! And the Aviator glasses are unlocked for teh wimmins! If the weird colors the only things keeping you from using the maxis base glasses, this is a good download.

- New NPC Defaults! Tired of the yellow NewspaperKids? Well, you can now try having them in forest green! Some very pleasant recolors of the two nanny default outfits - now in a pleasant warm range of tans and orange-browns, and a sweet lavender and green. There's a reshuffler for the man-maid outfit color . . from my understanding, it reorders which one shows up first when you hire a maid. There's a Private School Uniform that's truely classy - very english and formal-looking. I like the plaid, but frankly, these look better! The mod appears to let you single out one of the alternatives that are in the game, but don't get used. The Deliveryperson mod is a recolor, making the tan shirt less tan than the pants, and the blue pants actually silver. Very pleasant.

- Sports Jumpers! Wimmin's & Teens. Ever been mildly baffled by those hooded sweats-dresses and their teen counterpart? These are three-fold, seperate mods. One replaces the sandals with sneakers. Another is the mesh that fixes the foot mesh entirely for the sneakers (teens only). The third moves these sporty dresses into the Athleticwear section. The adult, hoodie version also has a mod to let you add them to the Athleticwear section without taking them out of the everyday. Colors have been mildly tweaked to up saturation.

- Swimsuit a-rama! This is a pretty extensive mod (and there's male and kid's ones too) for the adult and teen swimsuits. The double-clasp suits get turned into one-piece suits with a cutout on the back (and thick borders). The flower one-pieces get a small color upgrade, making them two-tone in a very pretty way. The one-pieces were all given white borders and deeper colors. Last but not least, the circusy tankinis were converted into bikinis (honestly, this looks best, not counting the flower suits). But the best part of this is a mod that lets your adults wear the YA swimsuits.

- From Plastic to Plaid. Men's boxers. Not exactly pretty, but the ones provided by Maxis look to be made out of plastic, not silk. This converts them into a nice flannel plaid with darker, more saturated hues.

- Braver Briefs This converts all of the men's briefs from speedos to appropriately hemmed/lined Y-fronts. *checks* WOO! And it's been updated to deal with my one big issue! The leopard-print is now in black, not white trim! And the shape is much better. Definitely a reccommended download now.

- Kids deserve nice swimsuits! A straightforward set - this converts the girls' two-piece suits into standard-cut onepiece suits (one version with no decals), and the boys's stained-glass pattern swimtrunks into a black-and-white mod version.

- Sports Bras for Granny Okay, I'm not exactly sure how this one works . . but it seems she recycled the texture of the old ugly granny swimsuits into sports bra for Granny. Mmmkay.

- Banish The Boycut A girl's underwear replacement, turning the boycut underwear into standard cut.

- Brighter Nighties! Remeber those charming old-fashioned nighties in the catalogue? Well this saturates the colors of the fabric and the pattern (rather nice in-game) for elders.

- Swimtrunks with stripes In this, the swimtrunks for teens, kids, and adults get a makeover, turning them into solid-tone trunks with stripes down the sides.

- Social Bunny's Bath A cleaned up, more saturated social bunny. With two eyes.

- No More Bears This replaces the bear-print children's pajamas with solid-tone pajamas, each one with a different decal on the front. The decals were taken from the Kid's shirts.

- Girl's Formal Dresses, more color, more contrast. I personally dislike the pleated-skirt formals for girls in the game, and this only mildly placates that dislike. But this is a pleasant set of recolors, both more saturated in hue and with better contrast than the originals. And not only does it make for nice colors, the extra yellow dress is converted into a darling sky blue, the extra pink into a lavender.

- Those Old Dresses This is a retexture and touchup of those base-game red and black dresses way towards the back of the catalogue. The ones where the only differences are red or black, coats or no coat, boots or pumps. Very boring, very simple texture. And the leopard-print on the same mesh. Well, the leopard got tarted up, but everything else got cleaned and smoothed up, necklines raised, retextured to give it more detail and shape.

- Fight The Fade & Softer Stripes! Two toddler mods, one brightening up all their patterned onesies, the other providing softer color mixes for their striped onesies. Instead of blue and black, cobalt blue and the original blue, for example. Also comes in shoeless versions.

- Added Contrast In Pajamas Women's pajamas now are less match-matchy. While the trim is still the same saturated hue as the pants, the main part of the tops are now paler.

- The Great Clothing Migration Massive clothing re-organization, broken down by expansion - if you've got the expansion and you want want the reorganization, you need to download the bit that covers that expansion. And this does much the same thing as the athleticwear mod listed just below. As it stands . . . I have no idea what ended up where.

- Athleticwear as Athleticwear This is a three-version mod. One moves all athleticwear - tracksuits, sweatsuits, men's jumpsuits - into the athleticwear category and nowhere else. One simply adds all those to the athleticwear without removing them from the other categories. And one removes the hip teen girl tracksuit from their everyday wear. Warning! This will conflict with other athleticwear mods!
