Annual "First Sentence of Each Month" roundup
January: 2011 Resolutions./This is essentially an updated/edited version of the "Things to do by the end of 2011" list that I made last summer.
February: Safely back in the States.
March: Lots of music-related things have been happening lately.
April: I've spent the last several days preparing for the new job.
May: 2011 Resolutions./Also, I finished that latch-hook the other night.
June: Last week was absolutely hellacious.
July: In bullet-point form, in roughly chronological order (but I make no promises because I am tired):
August: I got my student visa today!
September: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
October: I just taught myself how to play "Running to Stand Still" by U2 on the guitar.
November: I finally got my mark for my first paper.
December: We're up to nearly 17 hours of darkness each day, and my motivation has been dwindling with the daylight.
A fairly accurate cross-section of my year, I think. In other news, I got back to Edinburgh today. I took a long nap this afternoon and dreamed that thesis proposals were due at the end of January and everyone knew it but me. I'm going out with one of my flatmates later, because I only have a couple of days to get over jetlag before I leave for the Hogmanay trip on Friday.
