Today I gave the last of a series of three workshops I have set up for incoming exchange students. It's probably the coolest thing I've done in my whole working life, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. it's probably better to just have a few students that are really interested in the topic, than oblige everyone to participate!

i know it feels just great to hold workshops esp. if people are happy about what you do with them :)

Yeah, I'm very happy with the group of students that participated, it's also nicer to have a small group as it's easier to have discussions. People feel a bit more free to express their opinions when it's only a small group. :D

The basics mostly (the iceberg, Hofstede, etc) to give them an idea of what can be different, and then my personal theory about how to communicate effectively with people who are different. :D It was a lot of fun to prepare the workshop as it's my favorite topic and the students were really happy to discuss cultural differences amongst each other. It lead to a lot of fun discussions in class.
