travel, nerve, package

Dec 23, 2008 10:54

Well, I survived winter air travel. I made it to Louisville and back this weekend despite the storms and ice, though I did have an unexpected overnight stay in Detroit. I'm not really looking forward to flying to Utah in 2 weeks, but, hey, at least my plane didn't crash into a ditch and catch on fire. :/
I also seem to have misplaced my nerve. I haven't had a lot of time to get used to the concept of biking in the snow. I went direct from the airport to work via the T yesterday, and after meeting synaesthesia and knome for dinner and drinks at Eastern Standard, I took the T home (finally, and yup, it took an hour). I looked out at the messy streets this morning and decided to take the T again. Tomorrow I'll bike for sure.
Also, a package came for me that was shipped via Amazon Prime. I'm not going to open it until Thursday, but if any of you sent it, it's arrived. (Edit: oh, it might be my SantaThing books!) Now if the package that I ordered would get here, I'd be done with most of my mailing worries (my package to my family arrived safely). I'm also starting to get cards from relatives that I sent cards to who weren't originally planning to send me a card. :) Oh, and talesinsdaughtr, your card arrived, and you only swapped the o and the i in my last name, otherwise you got both right. :)
