Man, it feels good coming back to Final Destination City after two weeks of absence. I had to rush home because someone on the last ship of voyagers that went over the edge found me wandering FDC and told me I my mother needed me. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious, just my mother missing her son, but she wouldn't let me leave for two weeks.

Hehe, it's as good as overly doting mother can get. Basically I wasn't allowed to leave town and I did all the chores that have piled up over the months I was gone. I'm surprised mom didn't get one of the other village kids to help her. Haha, it was like she was expecting me to come home and resume the role of son once again. Needless to say, I feel horrible for leaving her all alone. She only has one son and she was so close to losing dad too...

I think you're onto something. Your mother missed you a lot. So, maybe having another boy help her just wasn't the same as having you do it, so she didn't bother to ask for more help. I dunno. Still, you spent break doing more work...

But you did miss a whole mess of problems over here! Did you hear about the fire? Or the sudden onslaught of no-good ruffians? I guess in that case, you were able to avoid some real nasty work. Wow, was it hard!

OTL, that totally makes me feel even worse for leaving, ahah. ^^; But I'll have to visit my mom more often, send her more letters too. Thankfully dad seems to be taking it fine.

And actually, I'd arrived a couple days before the fire. I was helping out on the side, but yeah it was hard work. As for those bandits, I must've been gone then. What happened with them? I've heard rumors only...
