Two Distant Stars

This is why, in case you were wondering, I stayed up til twelve last night and also why I went to sleep early. (Which apparently isn't early enough.) It started out like this and ended up like this:

Two Distant Stars

In a velvet black expanse
Empty loneliness encroaches
On two burning hearts of heat
Glowing brightly for each other

Blazing pin pricks of light
Reaching across the void
Silver streams of light touch
Like a feather soft caress

Separated by light years
Impossible to cross
Yet yearning for the other
And searing brighter still

Until an incandescent super nova
Engulfed in their fervor collapses
In the most passionate implosion
To devour their long lives whole

They reach the event horizon
Drawing the other nearer still
Colliding in an explosive fury
Compressed into black density

Their doubled fiery ecstasy
Radiates in a burst of glory
Dispersed in ethereal particles
Across time and space

I got the idea of using binary stars and black holes halfway through and had to go back and rewrite the beginning and the end to make it work and then I had to get up close and personal with the online thesaurus because I hate repeating words too close together. And I still can't tell you what the temperature of a black hole is, though I'm pretty sure it does have a temperature above 0 degrees Kelvin. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it but there are still a few spots that I'm not so happy about. Reviews?
