Brrrrr, Got the motorcycle back up and running. Or should I say that my father wants to borrow the motorcycle so that he pays less for gas to and from work. He paid to get it running again. It only cost $500 which is much less than I expected. Who knew. I have been taking it out now and then the last two days and I have to say, that thing sure is fun. I also have to say that it scares the bejesus out of me at times. Not to mention that its cold out there! Fifty seven degrees might not be all that cold, but throw 80+ mph wind chill on top of that and not wearing the proper attire for 30 degree weather, and damn, its cold! But the bike is running, and its running alright. Its a little squirly, and the speedometer is off. I think they put too large of a front tire on it or some such.
Why do you all still read this damn thing anyways? I have no life. I sit around the house and play video games or download things and watch tv. Short of my weekly roleplaying I rarely leave the house. I have no girl friend, no one ever calls to invite me out to do things, its pitiful. And damn if I don't like it that way. Eh, I don't mean that, I'd like a life, really I would. I'd also like a girlfriend, but thats only because I'm tired of smacking it to the same damn porno. You all didn't need to know that, but hey, its your eyes and not mine.
Anyways, on to why you read this thing. The job right? So there is a crisis at this mysterious job out in the middle of nowhere. Seems the 100 million dollar (Thats a lot of money!) merger fell though. However, during this merger the other company got some trade secrets. Any of you computer geeks out there will be reminded of Apple and Microsoft, or Xerox and Apple, or any other computer company and every other computer company. So the CEO is going a little nuts right now. The other prospect has fallen out of the running. Originally there were two people to come on as new hires, new salary positions. I was one of them. The other guy has determined that the job was taking too long and took another offer. I'm sticking in there.
My sponser was to talk to the CEO today. I still haven't heard anything yet. The job is coming, its just taking more time because of this merger fiasco. I'm sure everything will turn out fine. They may skip the final interview and hire me blindly, which I am not opposed to. At one point in time I was hopeing that they would let me finish up this quarter of college, but now I wish they would just get on with it already. Two or three houses that I really had my eye on over there have already become unavailable. Lets just hope that the signing bonus they speak of is large, large enough to put a very nice large down payment on a very nice large house.
I don't know why I want a large house. Two or three bedrooms will suit me fine, after all I did grow up in a double wide with three bedrooms and two baths. The houses I keep looking at are huge, upwards of 5 bedrooms 2.5 baths with finished basements, two stories, and lots of room. The houses are running around $150K to $180K, but thats alright since my "starting" salary is no less than $70K a year. Some formula developed somewhere says that your house should be around 2.5 times your annual salary. Perhaps I hope to land a great wife one day with this nice large house and nice small car.
Ohh, the car! I'm in love with it already. If you go to www.miniusa.com you can build your own Mini Cooper. Gloria is already built just waiting to be sent off to the dealer to have her factory made. She is a 2005 Mini Cooper S with all the bells and wistles. She is metalic forest green with black racing stripes and all 4 packages (which include heated seats, racing tires and rims, auto rain sensors and more features than I can list). Well, I'm going to shut up now, you all are probably tired of reading this already. Of course the house and the car all depend upon the job.
