GWW -2007

So war is over, damn.
You hurry up and pack your stuff, then wait to get where you’re going, set up at where you’re at, then try and enjoy it while you can, as time ticks away….
… Then it’s over and we pack up our stuff and go home, then unpack and clean stuff… ugh

The new site was awesome. Had a lake and swimming was possible (I wouldn’t, but the pirates did.) The pirates of dark sail and black rose seemed to fight over the islands. And someone outfitted their sail boat with a pirate flag and dawned pirate garb, and then sailed around the war camping area… way cool.

Arrived on Wednesday. Found a cool spot, but then was informed halfway done with setting up my yurt before the guys from kingdom of the west decided to tell us they have the area reserved. So we pack up our stuff that we can, make a couple trips and find another spot… All things considered the second spot was better… just wasted 2 hrs of our time and oh well…

The captain didn’t arrive till Friday morning, and after setting him up, and then armoring up we missed a couple scenarios. But we got some good fighting in the next couple days. All the better...
I seem to block a lot better then kill at the moment. But it’s a start.
White meat and Jeff visited on their way to the rapier fields… real cool.

Saturday night I went to offer some of the demon rum to primalstompe, but found them either at the dance or going to bed… ah well… I taunted the Gondol in the morning with drops from my cup… all the more fun.

Then Sunday arrived and it was time to pack it in and up…

So in past wars I was told that a gare is what my tent is, and that a yurt is a village of them. Then this war I learn that ‘yurt’ is a Russian derogatory term meaning dirt people or dirt… so the dirt under the tent…
Learn something new everyday…
