Your life doesnt really flash before your eyes...
So this week has been pretty interesting...
First:
1st Platoon gets pretty fucked up on a water op, they almost had 3 tracks sink. They took off for shore and landed on a civilian beach. The japanesse people freaked haha! It was in the newspaper.
Then:
On thursday I almost died. We went out in the water and we had a track go down. The one I was one was trying to tow it back to shore when it sank. It was really scary. I remember seeing on of my Sgt's climb out and start screaming for help. He looked so terrified... like he knew he was gonna die. Then it starting pulling us down with it. I pulled the lever in the back that cuts the ropes loose just in time and it saved us. We were so close to going down too.
Everyone is ok though. Few cuts, a concussion and I fucked my hand up pretty bad. Thank God no one got too hurt or died tho!
All our training is cancelled indefinitely though and there's a big investigation going on.
Otherwise... everything is normal marine corps stuff.
They're saying we'll be back in November now. =)
I bought a bike today, I'm sick of walking everywhere!
