Walkin'...

Another terrific day.

My manuscript hit its destination on Christmas Day. I’m hoping that’s a good omen.

Today, I sent off my check for MST3K, finally paid off my credit card bill, got my new TV and treadmill, and sent in my house payment. I’m a couple grand shorter money-wise, but these things will make me happier than cash ever would. I can’t wait for MST3K to arrive…one more chunk of my halcyon days I will have again. I wonder what the first quip funny enough to make me fall off the treadmill will be…

I’m hoping to go visit the Careys again soon. Of course, that will be dependent upon the flippin’ roads clearing up a little…

Mike came back from Cinci today, and helped me pick up my treadmill. He tells me that Adam isn’t mad at me, just distracted. Tremendous sigh of relief.

I’m probably going to help Jim with his papers again tomorrow. He came over tonight for a little WWE. That was a blast. He also brought some of his wife’s short stories. I’m very impressed! Her writing style is very rough, but she paints some vivid pictures of internal conflicts and the abuse so frequently found in local homesteads.

The next writer’s group is tomorrow. I’m hoping Jack will go so I can, too. It will be a blast to be able to talk about it again. It also looks like Jack is looking forward to it, especially about getting some constructive criticism. More power to him.

Ok, I can’t think of anything else to make myself sound interesting. Stay warm.
