a woman walks by
lost to the world
deep in her thoughts
away someplace else
the woman wears white
inside and out
with walls up so high
she cannot get out
this woman, she walks
her will all but gone
her steps insecure
in white she goes on
she continues to walk
as the days pass her by
the white bleeds through
and stains her desires
the womans wakes up
and she gathers her dress
and in white takes a bow
she walks down the aisle
she gracefully floats
so white and divine
her secret is hidden
they clap and they cry
the woman in white
her treasure so deep
a heart black as sin
nothing within
the woman in white
lives life for another
lost in the shade
the color of death
