A random thought...To those few girls who with things haven't turned out like I wanted them to...Fuck you, for giving me something I shouldn't have, and then taking it away...
Your daily bitterness today brought to you today by Dominoes' Breadsticks, and a 2 Liter of Sprite...
By the way, Resident Evil: Apocalypse review...
First off, knowing this is an action movie, you wouldn't expect any sort of groundbreaking acting...But, oppsosingly, you don't expect subpar tomfoolery on screen, either...I'll break it down as so; the acting was wretched, never once do you feel like any of the characters are genuinely scared, or that they have any real realization of the situation that encompasses them...For example, a character has a zombie dog on his chest, biting at him, and he says, "I'll take care of this bitch." It was said as if he was lifting weights, in the way of "I can do one more."...It came off as unbelievable...The actual reason for this I suspect is the director, not the actors themselves...Like Milla Jovovich or not, her acting was better even in the first Resident Evil...Not all instances were THAT terrible, but I expect a bit more...And to those people who say, "Oh, the games had terrible acting! The movie should have cheesy lines too!" I reply, the Game was primarily a game, it didn't need good voice acting to be successful; whereas this is a movie, and the acting goes hand in hand with the movie...Good action is more important in an action movie, but acting this bad really detracts from it...Another gripe, the movie had some of the worst direction and cinematography I have seen since House of The Dead...Slow motion and choppy fight sequences need to go the way of Moon Boots...There is absolutely any need to be as choppy as they were, or even do slow motion zombies...On a good side note, the beginning part of movie did look like Resident Evil 2...
Overall:
Acting - Horrible, even by action movie standards
Action - Mediocre and slightly unbelievable
Cinematography and Direction - Uninspired, Boring, and Amateuristic
Atmosphere - Accurate for part of the movie...But shallow feeling and far from fleshed out
Resident Evil Apocalypse - 4/10 (With 5 being an average movie)
If you're a Resident Evil fan, go check it out, if not...There are faaaar better action movies to see...
Of course, this is all just my opinion, take it at your own risk...
Anyways, work is done, time to sleep...More to come later...
