Winter Carnival, Part III
Whelp, one more day of Carni left... It's been fun so far.
Went skiing yesterday with Miller and his g/f Kristin, that was kinda fun. There were a lot of people there not from the area, who don't know how to use a T-bar, so that was really slow. I'd go on the lift more, but that only services blue terrain, all of the decent black runs are serviced by the t-bar, and you have to skate from the top to get to them... There's a proposed lift for that area, I hope they put it in soon, like before next season. Hockey last night wasn't bad either, we tied 1-1, with a last minute (literally) goal from Murphy. We could have won, but the game was really damn slow, barely any action. There was a great fight by the MSU-M bench (Minnesota state, not Michigan state), with a shitload of penalties, but no power play. The game tonight was a lot better, we had a couple of shorthanded goals. I forgot if it was 3 with one taken back or 2 with one taken back... Ellsworth was off during the first period, but he got it back together and held MSU to 2 goals, and we scored 4. Great game. Had broomball right after that, just got back from that game. We played really hard, but still lost 4-0. We have no offense. I switched to defense to try to keep goals against at bay, and I think I do better there (I wasnt producing on offense, I was hoping whoever went in for me would...but sadly not tonight). I kinda feel bad for Danielle, she's the team captain but doesnt have a very...commanding presence. A good portion of the team doesn't listen to her. Some of her decisions arent always that great, but I think it would help the team if we had some sort of direction and coherence to work with. Oh well.
We rented the ice for practice tonight from 115-215... so that'll be..fun? Bleh. Oh well... mebbe it'll help. We rented the ice with Argon 1, the other team from our hall (our better team, lol), maybe our offense can get some pointers from them. Hopefully...
