Life is good

Looks like I finally have some time to catch up on this thing...

School's done for the summer, got a 4.0 this semester. Emag was easier than I expected, but I was preparing for the worst. The drive home was uneventful.

The day after I got home I interviewed with Uni-Solar in Troy (their R&D facility). I was a litte nervous, since I had turned down three other offers to intern with uni-solar, but it paid off. I got the job and started on monday. My boss (Greg) is great, and I've already impressed him with the work I've done automating one of his experiments. It's a bit of a drive compared to the other offers I got in the area, but it's worth it. The people are great, and the hours are flexible--unlike last summer, where if I was *three* minutes late, I was docked an hour from my paycheck. I'm already considering coming back, but we'll see how this summer goes.

Between the interview and starting work, Lindsay and I went to Phil's cabin for a few days, which was a nice retreat before the summer got into full swing. It was great being able to spend sime time alone with her, especially since our work schedules conflict quite a bit now. While we were up there we drove to Jeff's (my roommate) and spent an evening canoeing and playing cards at his place.

I spent a couple weekends looking for a car, picked one out last weekend and picked it up monday after work. 2001 Subaru Forester, blue. Not big on features, but it drives nice, has lots of room, and gets great mileage.

Not much else going on, upgraded my computer when I got home, looking at buying an LCD monitor...after having the laptop for so long, I forgot how big and crappy CRTs can be. This thing definitely will be replaced by the time I go back to tech.

That's all for now...and probably most of my news for the summer. Been a great few weeks, but it should settle down soon.
